Reducing the Wait Time in XP
This is another manual tweak in Windows XP. When you start to shut down Windows XP, it has to end, or "kill," any live applications or processes that are currently running or processing. So close all applications first. However, some applications and processes are always running in the background. You can reduce the amount of time that Windows XP waits for those applications and processes to close before Windows XP kills them. Edit three different Registry settings to change this:
1. Open the Registry Editor. Start>>> Run>>> Type Regedit >>> Click OK
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop. Select WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000.
3. Select the HungAppTimeout value and set it to 1000 as well.
4. Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop. Set the WaitToKillAppTimeout and set the value to 1000. Select the HungAppTimeout \newline value and set it to 1000 as well.
5. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l. Select the WaitToKillServiceTimeout value and set it to 1000.
6. Close the Registry Editor.
Done! Test it and you'll see the difference.

Honesty
This is what i have shared this sunday during my talk....
Once there was an emperor in the Far East who was growing old and knew it was coming time to choose his successor. Instead of choosing one of his assistants or one of his own children, he
decided to do something different.
He called all the young people in the kingdom together one day. He said, "It has come time for me to step down and to choose the next emperor. I have decided to choose one of you." The kids were shocked! But the emperor continued. "I am going to give each one of you a seed today. One seed. It is a very special seed. I want you to go home, plant the seed, water it and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from this one seed. I will then judge the plants that you bring to me, and the one I choose will be the next emperor of the kingdom!"
There was one boy named Ling who was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly told his mother the whole story. She helped him get a pot and
some planting soil, and he planted the seed and watered it carefully. Every day he would water it and watch to see if it had grown.
After about three weeks, some of the other youths began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Ling kept going home and checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by. Still nothing.
By now others were talking about their plants but Ling didn't have a plant, and he felt like a failure. Six months went by, still nothing in Ling's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Ling didn't say
anything to his friends, however. He just kept waiting for his seed to grow.
A year finally went by and all the youths of the kingdom brought their plants to the emperor for inspection. Ling told his mother that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she encouraged
him to go, and to take his pot, and to be honest about what happened. Ling felt sick to his stomach, but he knew his mother was right. He took his empty pot to the palace.
When Ling arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by all the other youths. They were beautiful, in all shapes and sizes. Ling put his empty pot on the floor and many of the other
kinds laughed at him. A few felt sorry for him and just said, "Hey nice try."
When the emperor arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted the young people. Ling just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees and flowers you have grown," said the emperor. "Today, one of you will be appointed the next emperor!"
All of a sudden, the emperor spotted Ling at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered his guards to bring him to the front.
Ling was terrified. "The emperor knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me killed!"
When Ling got to the front, the Emperor asked his name. "My name is Ling," he replied. All the kids were laughing and making fun of him. The emperor asked everyone to quiet down. He looked at Ling, and then announced to the crowd, "Behold your new emperor! His name is Ling!"
Ling couldn't believe it. Ling couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be the new emperor?
Then the emperor said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone here a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds which would not grow. All of you, except Ling, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grown, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Ling was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in
it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new emperor!"
Be honest even if others are not...

Davies: Liquid Tile Penetrating Sealer
Bakit nga ba kasali ito sa Blog ko? Well after a year of searching what is the best treatment for our firewall to be damp proof, our prayers was answered! hehehe. We have tried all traditional water proofing of all sorts from concrete sealer down to cementitous ek ek, but no 100 percent results achieve. Last night, we have experience a heavy rain which is the first for this year. I knew that our newly painted interior firewall will get messed. I was wrong though. This product saves my painting not only the firewall but also our roof ceiling.
So what does it do to your wall? This is made of acrylic solvent based sealer specially formulated for concrete surface. It helps seal porous masonry substrate thus, protect the finish coat from moisture, efflorescence and alkalinity.
Just a caution when applying this sealer, you have to wear protective gloves cause its itchy and may irritate your skin when get contact with.
Two thumbs up with this product...

Tips on choosing the right room air conditioner
There are many factors in choosing what is right air conditioning unit for your room. Things like how tight is your budget (recession ngayon), Manual or automatic, horsepower, what brand? may remote ba?, and other things to consider. Well, there are basic information that i have considered in choosing one and i have listed it below;
First,, consider the size of your room, typically a 1/2 horsepower is suited best in a 10' x 10' room.
Second, choose a unit with high EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) rating. This is very important in maximizing your energy savings. In the Philippines, the standard set by the government is 9.1. Relatively, the higher EER the lower electricity would cost.
Third, compute your monthly operating cost by multipliying the factors:
Rated Power Demand watt/1000(kw)
X
Monthly Usage(hours)
X
Power Rate(Pesos/kW-h)
=
Cost of Operation
You are now ready to buy an airconditioning unit this Summer. Happy hunting!

LDS Official Statement on "Big Love"
This is the official statement of The Church of Jesus of Latter Days Saints regarding one of the episode of HBO's "Big Love" that is said to depict temple ceremonies . I like the statement of Elder Russel M. Nelson, "the teachings of the temple are beautiful simple and simply beatiful, they are understood by the humble yet they can excite the intellect of the brightest minds". The church is true i so testify.

Pay per click
Pay Per Click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on search engines, advertising networks, and content sites, such as blogs, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. - wikipedia
Generally, there are two ways to easily earn from this. One is to click ads which is boring for me and while the other is using the referral system. The payout from PPC is normally from Paypal and Alert Pay.
Just remember 3 things; Click, wait and get credited.

Spyder Helmet: Enduro
Just bought this helmet a week ago after a month of lid hunting experience . I was originally eyeing for an HJC lid which sold for Php5000 at JT Triump but then i considered the availability and the "bang for the buck" helmet so i pick this one instead. Got a black/grey color combination that fits with the lid of my wife. Check out their website
This is the actual pic, it comes with a helmet bag and some stickers :)
